Get Involved in Science Policy

2104013H_21Rally_FB_1200x628

Join advocates from around the country to call on our nation's policymakers to make funding for NIH a national priority and raise awareness about the importance of continued investment in medical research. Use your voice at the virtual Rally for Medical Research to ask Congress to pass a budge that includes funding increases for science. Budget increases would mean more grant money to help support trainees and supplement funding for existing grants affected by COVID-19.

It is extremely important that elected officials hear from the people directly impacted by their budgetary decisions. They need to hear how grants support your work, and how progress was halted for lack of pipette tips or gloves or animals.

Talking points will be emailed ahead of time. You role is to describe the importance of your research and any impacts from COVID-19. Meetings are usually 10-15 minutes. Deadline to register is August 30.
