Election Day: November 3, 2020

As we all know, the election is coming up next month. What you might not know is that voting in Minnesota has already begun! All U.S. citizen CEMS students students and postdocs can register to vote in MN, as we are considered MN residents. You can register to vote online in a few minutes with either a MN Driver's License OR SSN. Other MN voting resources can be found there as well.

Minnesota Voice, a chapter of State Voices, is a coalition of non-profit organizations whose goal is making sure every voice in Minnesota is heard by working towards increasing voter participation and civic engagement, especially in underrepresented communities.

ACT | MN SECRETARY OF STATE

Election judges are temporary, paid employees of local election officials trained to handle all aspects of voting at the polling place. Serving as an election judge is a chance to learn about elections, and is a great service to the community.

LEARN | BE AN EDUCATED VOTER

The election isn’t only for the president. On the MN ballot this year, you can also vote for representatives to the US Senate, US House of Representatives, the State Senate and House, Special State Legislative, the State Supreme Court, intermediate appellate courts, local judges, school boards, and the municipal government. You can learn who is running for major offices and where they stand on the issues. Let's all be educated voters!
