Honestly, despite the COVID-driven bump in outdoors interest, as a small business, our resource limitations & hiring difficulty have made it challenging to compete through the ups-and-downs of this pandemic. Then... came the fires. As of today, all California National Forests have been closed until mid-September. For all these reasons, we are now once again back to being either available by self-service (rentals only) or appointments-only (buy, rent, or borrow). Our website will always have the latest info on how to get gear--thank you for your support. We hope you are finding ways to stay safe yet active & healthy in these times, and considering the ever-increasing importance of your individual actions on our society & environment. Our business' mission is environment sustainability & equitable access, so to meet those goals we have to consider our own financial sustainability. With this in mind, we'd like to offer the option to lease our gear for the rest of the fall & early winter, for anyone who is still able to plan multiple trips along the coasts or deserts or is lucky enough to be able to leave the state temporarily. Leasing will be custom with a limited quantity of gear - so please call or email ASAP for price quotes or bookings, rather than go to our website. Outline of the deal: 1) Get & hold onto gear September 9-16 to December 8-15, 2021 (to accommodate schedules, you have 1 week to pick up or return gear; or we can still send a courier for an extra fee) 2) Lease price will roughly be the cost of 2-2.5 weekend rentals for the entire period.
