President's Corner I always have anxiety before any club event, especially club nights. Will anyone show up? Will there be enough food and beer? Will it be interesting? Well, you did show up, and for that I say, thanks! I really enjoy those events and this one I thought was especially cool. We got to enjoy each other’s company, we got to see the new Colnago V5RS - a day before Colnago officially announced it! - and Club Night is one Swami's event where no one has to worry about getting dropped. |

Now that that’s behind us, we need to focus on what’s coming up next: the Poker Ride. Time to get your teams arranged! Who knows the roads? Who can pull the group? Who is lucky? Get your team organized and start dreaming up creative names! Mark Steele |

5/17 The Wander On Saturday, May 17, join us for a new hill challenge, the Swami’s Wander, a meandering excursion covering 60 miles of ups and downs between Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch and Carlsbad that will put over 5000 feet of elevation in your legs. For those wishing for a little less quad destruction, there’s a No Mas version that takes off 10 miles and 1000 feet of climbing. |

5/31 Cabrillo RideOn Saturday, May 31, we’ll ride to Cabrillo National Monument, one of our favorite rides south! Once there, you can ride down to the tidepools and then back up, or stay around the gift shop and take in the views. If you have an annual Cabrillo pass, bring it along - it will provide admission for you and 3 other cyclists. There are usually enough passes to cover everyone, but in the unlikely event you need one, a 1-day cyclist pass is $10 at the gate. |

Get ready for Poker Ride 2025!First rule of the Poker Ride: you must pedal the whole way and visit all 5 stations. Next rule: there is no next rule. Between each station, you can ride road, gravel, dirt, or waterbike - the choice is yours. There will be a test at each station, but it's not that hard. Everyone knows who won Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 1966, right? This year we’ll hold our mad dash across North |
