Fellow Swami's members, the days continue to get longer, bringing all manner of spring activities! With our Wednesday 5:30 pm Hoppy Hour ride now leaving from Lost Abbey Brewing Co, you'll find some brand new twists added to the familiar ups and downs. If you want a less intense ride, an unofficial group leaves at 5:15 at a slightly mellower pace. 4/6 Social RideOn Sunday, April 6, we're hosting our monthly Swami's Social Ride. It’s a conversationally-paced ride where you can meet long-time as well as new Swami’s members. Swamis Racing NewsTeam Swami’s had a phenomenal finish at the Rosena Ranch Circuit Race on March 16! The course presented 20 laps of a challenging 2-mile out and back loop in San Bernardino featuring rolling hills along the 15 freeway. Swamis fielded four racers, James MacDonald, Scott Claes, Mark Palmer and David Bacher, in the Masters 55/60+ categories, which totaled 27 riders. James and Mark pushed the front of the |

group early. James, feeling in great shape, broke away on lap 8, with just one rider following, and soon their lead was insurmountable. With 3 laps to go, James hit it and rode the rest of the race solo to win by a 3 minute margin! The field behind them went through many attacks and counterattacks, splitting in two with the remaining Swamis in the wrong half. Mark jumped out of the group with another on the last lap, forcing the remaining racers to chase. Dave and Scott moved up using the other teams’ efforts as one Stage2 rider took the sprint. Scott, Mark, and Dave finished 6, 7, and 8 in the 60+ category. See the full results here.
