Fellow Swami's members, March means the end of the off-season, and we have a lot going on this month to get you into performance mode! The Wednesday Hoppy Hour ride season is starting, and that's sure to whip you into shape. Our spring kit order window will open this month to update your gear for summer riding. We've also been looking at ways to provide Swami's coaching plans for those interested in more structured training. Read all about it!

3/3 Social Ride

On Sunday, March 3, we're hosting our monthly Swami's Social Ride. It’s a conversationally-paced ride where you can meet long-time as well as new Swami’s members. You can check out all of the details here. A reminder: we now start and finish the Social Rides at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters in Bressi Ranch (map). Wear a Swami's kit from any year to get a free coffee and baked good!

3/13 Hoppy Hour is back!

With the return of Daylight Savings Time on March 10, one of our most fun and intense rides is back! Our first Hoppy Hour ride of 2024 will take place on Wednesday, March 13, rolling from Rouleur Brewery in Carlsbad (map) at 5:30 pm. If you’ve already done the Hoppy Hour ride, we don’t need to sell you on it. If not, come out to Rouleur and discover the excitement of riding the Faraday Speed Trap, the Lupine Howl Vaporizer,

3/23 Rouleur Anniversary Ride

Join us on Saturday, March 23 as we ride and then party to celebrate the seventh anniversary of Rouleur Brewing Company in Carlsbad! This is a very special anniversary - Rouleur has expanded to include a full-service kitchen, Onward and Upward Deli and Drinks, which will be cranking out sandwiches for the post-ride party. The ride rolls at 8:00 am from Rouleur Brewing Co (map) and the route will cover some of our favorite segments. Come for the ride and stay for the party!

Swami's Spring Kit Order!

Many of you let us know that you love the 2024 kit the way it is and want to order more of it. Others have asked for the 2024 style but in summer colors. Faced with the dilemma of which to go with, we decided to make everyone happy and do both! The Spring kit order will include many of the styles that were available in the Fall kit order plus new summer-themed jerseys, military versions, and more. Be looking this month in your inbox and on our Facebook page for the the official announcement of the kit ordering window!

Swami's Performance Coaching

Do you want to take your riding to the next level, whether that means racing or just moving up to the next group? For those who would like the benefit of a coach, we are looking into coaching plans, both group and individual. If you think you might be interested, fill out the survey at this link and let us know your thoughts!

Cadence Parking Lot

For those of you who park at Cadence for the Saturday rides: Cadence has asked us not to park in the spaces that are in front of the store along the fence on the right side of the building (the side closest to Moto Deli). Please park in the spots on the side that are behind the building, or on Melrose Ave, so that the spaces are not occupied most of the morning and can be used by Moto Deli, Queenstage, and Cadence customers.

UCSD Cycling Team Results
