President's Corner

I was so glad to see so many of you come out to Club Night on October 10 - it was a blast. In fact, the attendance was so good that I have to apologize for running out of food and drinks! We’ll remember that for the spring club night. I hope you were able to take advantage of all the deals Cadence made available. If there are any items you would like to see for next time or have any other suggestions on how to improve on Club Night, please let me know.

Also, remember to get your kit orders in before Sunday!

11/5 Social Ride

On Sunday, November 5, we're hosting our monthly Swami's Social Ride. It’s a conversationally-paced ride where you can meet long-time as well as new Swami’s members. You can check out all of the details here. A reminder: we now start and finish the Social Rides at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters in Bressi Ranch (map). Wear a Swami's kit from any year to get a free pastry and coffee or drink of your choice.

11/11 8th Annual Swamis Grand Fondo: Swamdo!

You’ve done the training rides, you’ve watched your nutrition, you’re ready to take on the Swamdo! Or maybe you’ve slept in, waited until the last minute, and feel completely unprepared to do a century ride... Either way, come to the Swamdo on Saturday, November 11! There are 48- and 68-mile routes in addition to the 101 miler, and no matter which one you do, you’ll feel like you’ve earned the party afterward!

For all the details plus registration link, go to our Swamdo page. Remember, if you aren’t a Swami’s member, you have until 11/5 to join and get free registration for the Swamdo and access to the new 2024 Swami’s kit order!

Thanksgiving Rides

While everyone else is nodding off in front of the tv, we are going to be on the road, with rides both before and after the big meal. Routes, times, and other details will be posted on our Facebook page as the dates approach!

On Thursday, November 23, those looking to pre-burn their Thanksgiving calories can join the All-Groups Ride at Cadence Cyclery (map).

On Saturday, November 25 we’ll meet at Rouleur Brewing Company (map) to put all that stuffing, mashed potatoes, and turducken to work!

12/3 Swami’s Holiday Party

Save the date! On Sunday, December 3, we’ll host our annual Swami’s Holiday Party, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, where we can all be surprised at what we look like in real life. More details to come!
