President's Corner

It's going on six months of being president of this fabulous club and I'm loving it. To be clear, the members are the beating heart of a club, so to that end I'm thankful for every one of you and hope the club is doing right by you; that you're a proud member. Most of you aren't shy in letting me know your thoughts and opinions, which is appreciated. I'm also so grateful to all the club's board members and volunteers for everything they do, behind the scenes, on and off the bike.

All this work is leading us to some exciting opportunities we're looking forward to sharing with the club. Hint, let's go racing! Stay tuned and see you on the rides!

8/7 August Java Ride

On Sunday, August 7 we're hosting our monthly Swami's Java Ride, a conversationally-paced social ride where you can meet long-time as well as new Swamis. The ride starts and ends at Peet's Coffee in Bressi Ranch. Wear a Swami's kit from any year for a free pastry and coffee or drink of your choice after the ride. 8/14 Swami’s Gravel Ride

On Sunday, August 14, gravelers will meet at Lofty Coffee La Costa at 8:00 am for the now-regular Swami’s gravel ride! Look for details on our website as the date approaches. We will regroup at a few points, but please download the route in advance. We finish up at Lofty for coffee.

"I can't wait until summer ends," said no one ever. But we have some fall events that will keep us in cycling form as the days get shorter. We’ll post more information as the events approach, but for now, put these dates on your calendar:

Monday, September 5: Rouleur Labor Day Ride

Sunday, December 4: Swami’s Holiday Party
