| | The Mac Greeman Foundation is a Minnesota 501(c)(3) that is dedicated to the education about the warning signs and prevention of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in children. - Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is when the heart’s normal rhythm suddenly becomes chaotic or stops beating altogether
- When SCA happens, the person collapses and doesn’t respond or breathe normally. They may gasp or shake as if having a seizure
- SCA leads to death in minutes if the person does not get help right away
- Survival depends on people nearby calling 911, starting CPR, and using an AED (if available) as soon as possible. Their life depends on you!

| | Education Your contributions help us educate others about the dangers and prevention of SCA in our children and teenagers. | | |

| | | AED Purchases A key objective of the Foundation is the purchase and distribution of portable Automated Electronic Defibrillators (AED's) to schools, youth organizations, and the community. Average cost of one AED is about $750. | | |

| | | EKG Testing The Foundation works tirelessly for the inclusion of mandatory Electrocardiogram (EKG) testing for Sudden Cardiac Arrest in all children. Most youth who suffer SCA have an undetected heart condition - they have no idea they have SCA. If a thorough family history and physical examination is completed, including an EKG test, study's show this will help detect approximately sixty percent of the heart conditions that can lead to SCA. | | |
