Our 3182 St Kilda Beach Patrol community clean for July is at West Beach. Meet at West Beach Bathers Pavilion, Beaconsfield Parade, 9.00am Saturday 11th July 2026. See map below for location and focus area. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Our beach clean will focus on West Beach Reserve where our besties from the EcoCentre and Earthcare St Kilda are hosting a planting event immediately following the community clean. This means you have two great opportunities to volunteer on the same day whether you stay for 5 minutes each or the whole morning! More info below.

Clean & plant for wildlife 11 July

We don't see kookaburras at St Kilda Beach very often but we all have the opportunity to contribute to diverse habitat for wildlife in our own back yard at beautiful West Beach Reserve.

You can register for the Tree Planting HERE or HERE (no need to register for the community beach clean - just come on down).

Whether you join us for one event or both, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other volunteers and neighbours and make a real difference to habitat and wildlife. With any luck our laughing friend will pay us a visit!

All events are family friendly, please bring your own sturdy gloves (both events), sun/rain protection and a water bottle. 

All other equipment is provided.

SAFETY FIRST

Please dress for the forecast weather (looks like a cold sunny morning).

Bring along a tough pair of gloves to protect your hands.

We will need to be extra aware of hazardous waste in the reserve. If you find a syringe with a needle, do not put it in your collection bag, please place it in the sharps container or notify a group leader.

June 2026 highlights

Cooler weather and windy conditions didn't dampen our spirits at the Community Clean at St Kilda Pier in June. Our lovely group of 22 volunteers collected 39kg of litter. Some of the items we found included 40+ containers eligible for a refund, 18 disposable cups, 200 cigarette butts and 30 plastic bottle tops. 

We were delighted to have a small group of colleagues from Diversified Communications Australia join us at the June clean.

School and corporate cleans are great team building and awareness raising events. More information can be found HERE.
