Happy New Year 3182 St Kilda Beach Patrollers

Thank you all for making 2025 such a great year for 3182 St Kilda Beach Patrol.

There is no 3182 Beach Clean in January 2026

If you choose to do a solo clean or clean up with friends you can send photos and data to 3182@beachpatrol.com.au and your clean up will be logged on litterstopper.

Our first clean for 2026 will be Saturday 14 February, meet at Marina Reserve.

Dates for 2026 cleans below. Remember we meet on the second Saturday of the month at 9.00am, rotating between Marina Reserve (near the skate park); St Kilda Pier and West Beach St Kilda.

Tethered Tops Campaign 2026

In 2026, Beach Patrol Australia will continue to campaign for tethered tops on plastic beverage containers. In 2025, St Kilda Beach Patrol logged over 550 bottle tops collected on St Kilda beaches. This was second only to cigarette butts! In Europe, plastic lids must be tethered to all single use beverage containers under 3 litres, creating one item to recycle rather than two. We need this policy in Australia, plastic bottle tops never really break down in the environment, becoming micro-plastics and putting marine animals at risk due to ingestion.
