01. Fundamental Principles of a New Political Philosophy The Constitution Party will begin the process of creating a new written constitution for the UK. But this constitution cannot be conjured out of thin air. It has to be based on a fully worked out political philosophy. This fundamental task undertaken in this Substack publication. The accumulated articles of this publication will provide the basis of a book Here is the beginning of the first article. Click Read More for the entire article POLITICAL PHILOSOPHYHere, I will set up an original political philosophy Political philosophy is not a subject that is ever mentioned by those interested in politics, whether mainstream or alternative. Political parties today don’t concern themselves with anything so high-minded. Their focus is on making a shopping list of policies that will satisfy their funders and appeal to the electorate. They have little sense of how these might fit into an overall scheme of things But this is a radical approach seeking to form the political life anew and so we must think our position through from the bottom to the top And we recognise that all western governments, through their domestic puppets, are in the grip of the Globalists parasites and that only fundamental changes can reverse this Our political philosophy provides an anchor and a guide to the creation of the new pro-nation, anti-parasite, anti-globalist constitution which we wish to construct VALUESAbove all it sets out the values that we hold dear and that we believe are essential to creating a good society The challenge then is to embody these fundamental values in the text of the constitution and ensure that the constitution is designed to protect and preserve them Our political philosophy must establish what we want, what we hope for and what we believe in So, it must be passionate, inspirational and affecting – even deeply so It is not about nuts and bolts and building blocks. Those are important enough and we deal with those elsewhere We must begin by examining the values that we, as humans of good will and good faith, hold most dear when we think about how we want to relate to others and about the kind of society we want to live in There are no doubt many worthy writers who have addressed the subject of political philosophy in a way I find sympathy with. Aristotle, the Stoics and John Locke come to mind But my approach is different and very much more systematic and so I will not refer to them So, for want of a better term I call this Kellowian Political Philosophy A sound political philosophy is fundamental to our renewed nation state Yours Peter Kellow If you wish to comment contact me at peter@constitutionalparty.uk |
