SE PA AHEC Supports Community Medicine Fellowship in West Philadelphia

SE PA AHEC is proud to be a partner in the Community Medicine Leadership Fellowship for ACTION (A Philadelphia Access, Continuity and Transitions Network). This HRSA-funded fellowship develops leaders in community health with expertise in panel management, care coordination, and quality improvement to lead health care transformation.

Bringing together leaders from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, with other Penn health professional schools, along with SE PA AHEC, the Health Federation of Philadelphia, FQHCs and other safety net providers in West Philadelphia, this fellowship trains primary care providers to lead health care transformation and improve health within underserved communities and community based practice settings.

Applications are currently being accepted from primary care providers practicing in West Philadelphia for the next fellowship cohort that will begin in July. For more information, contact Christine Polit at cpolit@sepaahec.org.

Covid-19 Resource Library from NCIBH

SE PA AHEC partner National Center for Integrated Behavioral Health (NCIBH) has created a comprehensive library of resources including toolkits, curricular guides, screening and prescribing recommendations, online training videos, and best practices relating to COVID-19. These resources reflect the needs of healthcare providers providing care on the front line, including integrated behavioral health concerns commonly found in primary care.

The library is updated frequently and can be found here.

SE PA AHEC Staff Transition To Remote Work

Like many organizations in the state of Pennsylvania, SE PA AHEC has been working remotely in compliance with the state's stay at home order. We have been in contact with our many partners and continue to support primary care providers, institutes of higher education, and health profession students. We are also seeking new and innovative ways to support our community during the Coronavirus pandemic and beyond.

If there is a way we can support your organization right now, please reach out to Christine Polit  at cpolit@sepaahec.org.
