Red Sky explains: "Emergency Kit was born from a very specific moment. A fan wrote to me saying she wanted to take her own life. That night, I wrote this song for her. But as I was writing, I realized I wasn't speaking only to her. I was speaking to everyone who feels like an outsider in this world — different, misunderstood, alone even when surrounded by others. The title is no coincidence: this song is meant to be exactly that, an emergency kit. Something to hold on to when the weight becomes too much to bear, a voice that says "I see you" when everything around you feels dark. L’ispirazione dietro la traccia è nata da un evento reale e drammatico, come racconta lo stesso Red Sky: "Kit d'Emergenza" nasce da un momento preciso. Una fan mi scrisse che voleva togliersi la vita. Quella notte ho scritto questa canzone per lei. Ma mentre scrivevo, ho capito che non stavo parlando solo a lei. Stavo parlando a tutte le persone che si sentono aliene in questo mondo — diverse, incomprese, sole anche quando sono circondate da altri. Il titolo non è casuale: questa canzone vuole essere esattamente questo, un kit d'emergenza. Qualcosa a cui aggrapparsi nel momento in cui il peso diventa troppo, una voce che dice "ti vedo" quando tutto intorno sembra buio. Il videoclip dà un'immagine a quel buio, senza nasconderlo e senza romanticizzarlo. Perché chi lo sta vivendo ha bisogno di sapere che c'è qualcuno che lo vede, e che quella sofferenza non è una condanna." |
