"Future Belongs To" is a progressive metal conceptual album and a remarkable progressive rock album that showcases BLACKLIGHT's solid and cohesive artistry. Rich with melancholy and calm tones, it creates a versatile vibe that is perfect for any situation. Drawing inspiration from iconic acts like Opeth, Rush, Tool, Dead Can Dance, and fellow countrymen Riverside, the band weaves these influences into a unique and captivating sound that defines their identity. Formed in 2019 by Maciej Majewski, BlackLight quickly carved out a unique progressive metal sound. Their debut album, Follow the Future, recorded in Kraków’s Studio 13 and Studio Centrum, was well-received by fans and critics, leading to live performances on Antyradio's Makakofonia and other major stations.

In 2021, the band recorded their second album, River of Time, released by Metal Rock Promotion in early 2022. A lineup change in late 2023 saw drummer Stanisław Skowroński join, with Majewski taking over vocals. With this refreshed lineup, BlackLight recorded Future Belongs To, a conceptual album set for release by Wormholedeath.
