Led by the enigmatic vocalist and lyricist Belle Morte, the band features an exceptional lineup: Sergey Butovsky on bass guitar and arrangements, Maria Shumanskaya on keyboards, Ilya Rogovoy and Ilya Petrashkevich on guitars, and Rostislav Golubnichiy on drums. Since their inception, Belle Morte has carved a niche in the metal scene with their debut EP "Game On" in 2018, followed by their ambitious conceptual album "Crime of Passion" in collaboration with Italian label Wormholedeath. Inspired by John Fowles’s psychological thriller "The Collector," the album delves into themes of obsession and tragedy, weaving a haunting narrative that resonates with listeners worldwide. Currently, Belle Morte is expanding their sonic horizons with their upcoming second full-length album, featuring collaborations with musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds. Incorporating a rich tapestry of ethnic instruments – from Ukrainian Bandura to Japanese Shamisen, Indonesian suling and gamelan, Celtic bouzouki, and Germanic lyre – the band promises a genre-defying musical odyssey that pushes the boundaries of symphonic metal. |
