Despite facing some internal hurdles, Hervé kept the music alive by touring and also dipped into crafting theatrical music while working on his first album, "L'Ambiguïté," released in 2003 and later made available on streaming platforms in 2022. After collaborating with actor Jacques Gamblin, Hervé returned to solo work in 2008 and made waves with the EP "I Try This for the First Time" in 2016. The EP even found success on Number One Music's website, propelling Hervé into the spotlight. Driven by his solo performances worldwide and a stream of fresh ideas, Hervé geared up for a full album. He began demo recordings for no-ne's debut album in 2017, finally completing the vibrant masterpiece, "Daisyland," in early 2022 after facing various interruptions. The album underwent post-production with the help and advice of esteemed producers Dave Allen and Steve Albini, mastered by Dave Draper, and adorned with captivating artwork by Ania Pawlik. Despite a delay in its promotion, Hervé's 2023 training in digital music marketing revived the project's momentum. "Daisyland," the brainchild of Hervé Rico, stands as the second album and the inaugural offering by no-ne, his solo venture. Written, composed, arranged, recorded, mixed, and produced entirely by Hervé from 2020 to 2023, this album represents a return to English songwriting, captivating enthusiasts of Indie Pop, Alternative Rock, and 90's Shoegazing. Spanning ten soul-stirring tracks, "Daisyland" presents an intimate soundscape oscillating between melancholic and jubilant, all interwoven with the theme of human connections. It's an emotional mosaic, from subtly somber to sharply sardonic—a genuine slice of life. |
