Mathew, speaking of the album, stated: "My album, "The Decision Tree" was written entirely with Octamed, fusing the chiptune genre with my own vision of heavy metal. My major influences are thrash, folk, and symphonic metal. The album name and its tracks deal with the various influences in our lives that guide or influence our decision-making, from both a physical and metaphysical standpoint. It covers topics such as math, art, physical orientation, patriotism, divination, and theology. All the decisions and acceptances we make in our lives design our own unique tree." |
