«Forsaken Star» was one of the first songs ever written by Perséide, at the beginning of the 2000s. It was recorded on an EP that never came out. Today, the band decided to release this song in a modern version, in tribute to the early fans. “Forsaken Star” deals with betrayal, and the fact that it is difficult to take distance from someone you loved when you have been betrayed. Trust is a strong feeling that should not be given lightly. And once it is given, you must deserve it. But one thing is certain, Perséide will always be there for their fans! Perséide deliver a modern metal ranging from pop to metalcore, with heavy rhythms and old school guitars, catchy choruses, all tinged with electro synths and intense vocal. Perséide were born to four childhood friends who decided to form a rock band in 2001, as they were just teenagers. Ten years later, they were crossing the frontiers to share their music widely. After two EP released, a signing to OrageRock label, hundreds of gigs across France, Europe, and even in the USA, with bands like Soilwork, Betraying The Martyrs, Cancer Bats, We Butter The Bread With Butter, Protest The Hero… The story is still being written today. In May 2020, The Only Thing was released and the band didn’t expect the positive feedback! Comments and reviews are just amazing: old-school fans are still present to support the project, and new fans are coming along. |
