EAC Update

Do We Qualify As An Essential Business?

Update Provided by Scott & Whitehead

March 22, 2020

Amid much confusion about which businesses are, and are not, permitted to have employees report to work, the California State Public Health Officer issued a detailed (and helpful) list of “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers,” which is available online at:

https://covid19.ca.gov/img/EssentialCriticalInfrastructureWorkers.pdf

The list includes, “Professional services, such as legal or accounting services, when necessary to assist in compliance with legally mandated activities and critical sector services.”

You can reach Scott & Whitehead, the EAC hotline attorneys, by calling their office at (949) 222-0166 or visiting their website at http://www.employerlaw.com.

This bulletin is provided as a service to our clients and other friends to highlight current developments in the law. It is not intended to provide a legal opinion or specific legal advice. Should issues arise involving these, or other legal matters, please contact Scott & Whitehead at (949) 222-0166 or the EAC Office at (714) 794-4253.
