EAC Update

Stay Home Except for Essential Needs

Provided by Scott & Whitehead

March 20, 2020

The Governor and the California State Public Health Officer are ordering all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence, except as needed to maintain continuity of operation of critical infrastructure sectors, critical government services, schools, childcare, and construction, including housing construction, healthcare, critical manufacturing and information technology.

This Order went into effect yesterday, March 19, 2020.  It will be in place until further notice.

In this Statewide Order, there is an acknowledgment that we are not in a total shutdown.  People can leave their homes to get food, go to other stores that remain open, care for a relative or friend, get necessary health care, exercise, or go to an essential job.  All should keep at least 6 feet of distance from others outside of the home.

During this critical period, our office remains open.  You can reach Scott & Whitehead, the EAC hotline attorneys, by calling their office at (949) 222-0166 or visiting their website at http://www.employerlaw.com.

This bulletin is provided as a service to our clients and other friends to highlight current developments in the law. It is not intended to provide a legal opinion or specific legal advice. Should issues arise involving these, or other legal matters, please contact Scott & Whitehead at (949) 222-0166 or the EAC Office at (714) 794-4253.
