What a joyful and illuminating week we had at this year’s Vacation Bible School – Illumination Station! Over four wonderful days, children discovered who Jesus really is and experienced the joy of His light shining into our lives. Through engaging Bible stories—from Jesus’ baptism and miracles like the feeding of the 5,000 to His powerful resurrection—they created beautiful crafts (canvas paintings, sun catchers, stained glass windows, lanterns, painted rocks, and foam crosses) and participated in hands-on science experiments that illustrated Jesus’ growing love and forgiveness. The kids were engaged, creative, and full of energy, leaving with tangible reminders that Jesus is the proven, powerful Son of God whose light continues to shine in our hearts and homes.

A huge thank you to every volunteer, and behind-the-scenes servant who poured their time, energy, creativity, and love into making this week possible—your dedication reflected the light of Christ beautifully! We also extend gratitude to all who donated supplies, snacks, resources, and financial support; your generosity helped illuminate the hearts of our children in powerful ways. May the light of the risen Jesus continue to shine brightly in our church, homes, and community!

 Join Us in the Prayer Garden at 7 pm on the Third Thursday of the Month Each Month of Summer! (July 16 & August 20) Bring a chair, bring a snack, a game, an instrument. We will be enjoying the beauty of our prayer garden and each other's company. This is a family-friendly activity. All are welcome.    

A portion of this year’s Confirmation Class will take place at Pastor Scofield’s church, River of Life in Channahon.

The group will assist at the church’s Swaddling Clothes ministry for families in need. Donated items will be collected to make gift bags for the moms, plus toys & books for the kids. If you’d like to make a donation, there is a list of suggestions in the Narthex with details.
