Each week your child will have a new craft, memory work, an engaging activity, and suggestive prayer topics. Easter Joy and the U.S. in Crisis

Dear Friends in Christ,

Christ is risen! We give thanks to our Savior Jesus for His holy innocent, bitter, suffering and death and His victorious resurrection throughout this Eastertide. And we rejoice that through Holy Baptism, He has got us – we are His! This kind of news makes all the difference in the world for our life in the here and now, not to mention our eternal lives with Him in heaven. It gives us assurance that no matter what happens to us in this life, we have eternity with Him NOW!

That makes a difference in our outlook in our daily lives…   that we are His people. Perhaps that is why business is slow for me even during these pandemic times. As Christians we know the ultimate Easter truth from our loving God.

The news is good too regarding rates of vaccinations, though in the U.S.A. the infection rate is 94 out of every 1,000 people. The bad news is that mental health in general among citizens of the U.S. is in bad shape. The Kaiser Family Foundation reports that 4 in 10 people are suffering from Anxiety Disorder or Depressive Disorder, and that there have been related issues as well: difficulty sleeping (36%) or eating (32%), increases in alcohol consumption or substance use (12%), and worsening chronic conditions (12%), due to worry and stress over the coronavirus.

I would invite you to call or email me for a free assessment appointment at 224/645-3300 or c6cares@gmail.com if you are feeling any symptoms. After a free session, the fee for church members is $25 per 60 minute session [lower than most copays for counselors and therapists]. I am currently seeing clients online, at Trinity in Villa Park , St. John in Schaumburg and, Immanuel in Bartlett. All sessions are in the NO JUDGMENT ZONE and combine the Bible, the Word of God, with best practices of counseling psychology.

With peace and joy in our risen Lord Jesus,

Dr. Dean

TCNS NEWS

TCNS will hold their end-of-year fundraiser at Culver's in Lombard on Wed, May 19th from 4-8 pm. The flyer is available on the sidebar of the church website. Come enjoy dinner or dessert and help make the fundraiser a huge success!

TCNS is collecting bread tags to support Danielle Cares. The bread tags are recycled, and funds raised are used to purchase wheelchairs for those in need. Please help support this wonderful project by
putting your bread tags in the box in the Narthex.

Postcard Mailing

Thank you to everyone for participating in the Lenten postcard mailing and prayer challenge!

Because of your efforts, we were able to send a postcard to every household in our Trinity Family. If you did not receive a postcard, please contact Margaret ASAP to update your contact information. Even though
Lent is over, the Stewardship, Evangelism, and Human Care Boards request that you continue praying for the members of our Trinity Family.

We look forward to implementing this twice a year.
