After a ten-week interactive virtual training and exercises in Playwriting, Character Development, Acting, Directing, and Filmmaking, our global youth artists are thrilled to invite you to be the first to watch their short videos on COVID-19 prevention, racial inequality, hunger, and other social determinants of health. Each artist produced a video focusing on issues affecting their local communities.

Global Youth Arts Collaborative Program Director

As we celebrate our ten year anniversary amidst growing health disparities and heightened media around police violence, I feel privileged to share with you, the B4 community, our summer program, the Global Youth Arts Collaborative: Healthy Lives Training Initiative! Our cohort of youth artists from Liberia and (for the first time!) the United States started meeting online in June. I am pleased to announce that we have been able to subsidize the cost of participation for every youth artist! These young people are currently in the process of filming their videos with iPads and smartphones, with the final films to be shared with a global audience at the end of August. I am beyond proud of our young people adapting so well and cannot wait to see their final videos!
