| November As we anticipate the Thanksgiving holiday, I’ve been reflecting on gratitude, and how thankful I am for my family, my work, our partners and my Lord. Hebrews 12:28-29 says, “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” I pray that gratitude for all that God has done will consume you this Thanksgiving holiday. Welcome, Hank! In keeping with our tradition of providing a home for horses rescued from poor or dangerous situations, Hank was rescued by his previous owner in 2021, after she witnessed evidence of abuse. She always intended for Hank to ultimately find his home here, but God’s timing didn’t allow it until now. Welcome, Hank! We’re so happy to have you. |

Meanwhile, Trigger has returned home. We were so grateful to Trigger’s owners for letting us borrow him for so long. He got returned late last month with love (and not a few tears!) and is happily reunited with his girl. |

Our Latest Graduate! “Chelsea” (not her real name) just graduated from our program, but it’s not too late for you to help her with a gift from her Amazon gift registry (be sure to select the gift registry address, which is usually located just after your own address). Chelsea is our fifth program graduate and has worked really hard to get where she is. Praise God for her willingness, perseverance, and determination to do the hard work of healing. |

From The Executive Director As I reflect upon my time at the ranch, I cannot help but be filled with gratitude. I have repeatedly seen God‘s faithfulness, mercy, grace and provision in unexpected ways. I have seen His hand at work through talented volunteers, community support, donors nationwide, and the encouragement and prayers from staff and the Board. The residents have ministered to my heart in countless ways, and I have found moments of solace with the horses. The Balm of Gilead is surely in this place, but it extends far beyond the gate posts of the property. Our Father's love and reach are immeasurable. I am so thankful to have a front row seat of His Glory on display. |

Answered Prayer: Praise God that my other knee has been replaced! I already have less pain and am well on my way to more mobility. Praise God for Trigger, his wonderful service to the ranch, and for his safe return to his owners. Praise God for Hank, or newest horse donated to the ranch. He will be an excellent horse for camp and we anticipate him teaching the residents so much. |

Please pray for Chelsea’s transition to independence, that she would be confident and successful. Please pray that God will bring the perfect woman to join us after Chelsea’s graduation. Please pray for the ladies during the Thanksgiving holiday. Holidays and anniversaries are difficult and can bring up painful memories. Please pray for more opportunities for us to engage with the community about our work on the ranch. Please pray for a youth group to step up for a missions trip to staff the second week of Camp Run Free. |
