He works justice for those who are pressed down by the world, providing food for those who are hungry. He frees those who are imprisoned; He makes the blind see. He lifts up those whose backs are bent in labor; He cherishes those who do what is right. (Psalm 146:7-8)

January

This month I've been thinking about how God always makes a way for His children, even though it might not be the way I would choose or even expect. You can check out the "Way Maker" music video on Youtube if you want some inspiration; it really captures how I've been feeling.

Now grab a cup of coffee and find out what we've been up to!

We Now Have Five Residents For the First Time Ever!

This is the most residents we've ever had at once--and we hope to have a sixth resident soon! We feel as though God has now provided the resources for us to take this big step, but we couldn't have gotten here without your faithful prayers and financial support.

Winter_Sunrise_2022

I just wanted to share how God's glory is revealed daily on Blazing Hope Ranch. Winter can be especially beautiful.

Meet Our Most Faithful Volunteer!

Debi writes all of our Thank You notes. That may not seem like such a big job to you. But considering that the entire Ranch depends on the efforts of volunteers and the donations of so many people and organizations, thanking them all is a big job.

We first met Debi over ten years ago, when we started attending the same church, and she was excited to help us in our mission.

Debi-Thank_You_Cards

Because of health issues, she is not able to do some of the physical work that the Ranch requires, but as an English minor who loves to write, she was delighted to take over writing the 50+ thank you notes per month that we need to send out.In the spare time she has outside of writing the notes, Debi enjoys spending time with her five children, fourteen grandchildren and two great granchildren. She recently retired from a career in law enforcement, and we are very grateful for her contribution to the Ranch. Thank you, Debi!

A New Grill and Refrigerator

We are extremely grateful to Courtney's grandparents for gifting the kitchen appliances we now require in order to accommodate our growing group of ladies. If you missed November's issue, you can read about Courtney here.

Update on Josiah

As regular readers may remember, Josiah was diagnosed with Type I diabetes on Thanksgiving Day. He and the family continue to learn about this serious condition and how to keep his blood sugar under control. Right now, his pancreas is valiantly trying to supply the needed insulin, taking his blood sugar too low at times. We are told that this is normal and will pass. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

Answered Prayer: We've been praying for several months that we would get a grill and a larger refrigerator that would accommodate our growing group of ladies. Thanks to Courtney's grandparents for answering this urgent prayer!

Prayer Pardn'rs

Please pray for our newest residents. Staying on the Ranch is a big transition for our residents and we ask a lot of them. Please pray that they can find the Lord's strength to stay the course.

Please also pray for a ten-passenger van to accommodate our growing group of residents. Our current van is too small to transport everyone comfortably in one vehicle.

Help us in our mission!

Would you be willing to give up one or more coffees each month to support us? Join our "Freedom Wranglers" by clicking on the Donate button to support the important work we do to restore wholeness to female survivors of human trafficking, and to weaken the sex trade through the power of Christ. Your monthly donation of as little as $10 per month can help a resident begin a new life.

Do you have a friend (or friends) who would also be willing to pray for us? If so, please forward this email to them or post this email on your social media account.

Want to read a past newsletter? You can find them all here.

Finally, let us know what you think (and please feel free to unsubscribe using the link below if you don't want future newsletters). We'll look forward to hearing from you!
