Kew Little Pigs April Newsletter 2019

Hello and welcome to April!

We've had a great time in March, lots of bookings and customers have been to visit our piggies. Lindex fashion took a trip to our farm, as well as lots of happy customers who have cuddled and played with our piggies until their hearts content!

Changes at the farm!

We have kick started 2019 with some changes to our farm. Recently we have constructed two new 'Petting Pens' which allow visitors to get up close and personal to our piggy friends, without invading their living areas. This will allow more visitors to have more and more cuddles with our beautiful pigs! We have also constructed a breeding pen, which Milo and Susan are currently living in, getting busy!!!

Time for a new friend?

In light of our soon approaching birth, Jill is getting ready to meet her new babies! We are expecting on the 20th April, and we have launched our deposit scheme to make sure that everyone can welcome a piggy friend into their forever home. 

We have received a lot of interest for our new litter, and the piglets are already in high demand. If you, like us, love pigs and are ready to welcome one into your home then please email info@kewlittlepigs.com to secure your place and take home your forever friend! We advise new pig keepers to take part on the -  Comprehensive Pig Keeping Guide to make sure that they are ready to take one of these babies home!

Easter Holidays!

As you are getting ready to be eating huge amounts of chocolate at Easter, why not think about how to keep you and your children busy at the same time!

 Mini Pig Keeping is a great way to keep your kiddies busy, but also learn about Pig husbandry facts and take part in a farm chore such as feeding, giving carrots, giving hay or watering the piggies. This is great for their enrichment and teaches them a lot about how to look after a pet pig. Children will receive a certificate, and some top piggy questions on an FAQ sheet to take home!

April Offer...

Our offer this April really is 'Pig'tastic. We are currently offering 20% off of the Piglet Spa luxury experience. This is a great gift for someone, but also makes the perfect relaxation treat for yourself! After spending an hour with our piggies at the farm, you will then head to the Crowne Plaza and be able to use all of their members facilities for 6 hours! Perfect for anyone who loves pigs, but also loves being pampered!

Moving on up!

We have had some piggy movements at the farm! Milo, who is currently expecting to be a Dad (again!!) was starting to get greedy. Jill couldn't get a look in with him eating all the food and sleeping in the hut all day, so she kicked him to the kerb, and is now enjoying having her whole pen to herself. Poor Milo, she must be getting ready to pop as she is normally quite tolerant of him grabbing all the food!

He has moved into our breeding pen, and is currently hoping that Susan will be his new girlfriend, although after speaking to Jill and finding out how messy and greedy Milo is, Susan is not sure how excited she is...!

As we have nearly sold all of our girl piglets, some of the older girls have moved into their pen to keep an eye on them and stop them making so much mess, they're running riot without any adult supervision! Peanut, Dobby and Frieda are happily settling into their new home and looking after such cute little girls!

Save the Children

Although Christmas is over, we are still helping Save the Children throughout the year of 2019 to raise money and awareness for this wonderful cause.

From the 14th February 2019, up until the 15th March 2019 we have raised another £182.20 for Save the Children. 

Our one our visits are currently donating 20% to Save the Children, so to help this cause with us, find out more here! 

News...

In news at Kew Little Pigs, Michelle has had her baby! We are really excited to see him soon for cuddles! Congratulations Michelle.

We are also expecting the return of Amy, who is coming back from maternity leave at the end of April. There must be something in the water here...!
