Once you have asked yourself these or other questions, you need to do the following: - think about the reasons why something went wrong, or vice versa worked, as well as how you can fix the situation in the upcoming school year;
- talk to a colleague or mentor, or someone you trust, about what you think, and you may come up with ideas on how to work differently;
- read about what worries you or what you want to change. There are many resources for teachers on the Internet with ideas and articles on a variety of topics;
- ask – it's a great way to learn from colleagues how they solved a problem – in online communities, on websites or, perhaps, during master classes for teachers.
Reflection is a cyclical process, because as soon as you start implementing certain changes, you will evaluate and reflect on them again. If you believe that one of the reasons something went wrong was the burnout, read our blog post to learn more about the ways to prevent it, or wait for our next newsletter, while reflecting on the past school year. |
