Hey teachers! Hugs to your students given, warm wishes and words of praise said, certificates, diplomas and medals awarded, tears of pride and joy shed. Students set off to their summer holidays and teachers breathe out. Hopefully, that’s a description of a perfect end of school year day for every teacher. And that’s the day when teachers will finally think about their own summer full of self-care and, hopefully, professional development. We’ve noticed that self-care and self-awareness are becoming increasingly popular among teachers due to the rise of zoom fatigue and many hours spent online honing English language skills, preparing students for exams, doing paperwork, grading homework. That’s why this summer we’re running an online event for everyone involved in ELT you wouldn’t want to miss – Teachers’ Summer Meetup π to tune into the right mode and talk about ways of how educators can take care of their own wellbeing, restore, refresh and spend time doing something enjoyable. At the meetup we’re going to: - talk about ways of how to renew mentally and physically during the summer
- give tips and advice on what can help refuel the teacher’s brain and soul
- get to grips with the kinds and reasons for the burnout (and how to deal with it)
- share personal stories and experience
- discuss professional development opportunities during the summer
When: Thursday, June 3 - 18:00 — 19:30 (UTC+3)
