When it comes to teaching grammar, things can often seem quite straightforward – until one of our learners brings us an example that they’ve found somewhere which seems to fly in the face of what we’ve just taught them! Often, these can be quite tricky and hard to deal with. In this session, we’re going to look at 10 of these common grammar 'myths' that we often teach our students – as well as consider whether or not they may actually be helpful, and to what extent. In this master class, participants will: - get acquainted – or, actually, re-acquainted with the most common grammar myths
- consider whether we should make our learners mindful of those and see how this can be done
- share their own stories related to the grammar myths
