The debate over the Border Wall has been intensely personal for me.  On Christmas Eve of 2005 my mother headed out to the store to pick up some final baking supplies for the holiday feast she was preparing for our family.

We're a big family (I have 12 siblings!) and when you add in brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles it's quite a feat to feed all those hungry mouths at the holidays.

The joy of Christmas 2005 was soon to turn into a nightmare for my family.  As my mother pulled out of the parking lot of the grocery store her car was slammed into by an illegal alien who had run a red light.

My mother was killed in the crash.  The illegal alien driver was convicted of manslaughter - it was his FOURTH DUI in America.  How does this happen?  What kind of society do we have where our leaders continue to subject families such as Kate Steinle's, Ronil Singh's (the police officer killed in the line of duty by an illegal alien) or mine to such treacherous pain?

Illegal aliens have no right to be in our nation.  If the politicians (most notably the Democrats) cared to stop the crime and suffering (let alone the costs) created by illegal immigration they would secure our border.

But they don't - they lie about it while they campaign for office to appease the voters, and once elected they refuse to secure the border, and Democrats instead actually go so far as to push for the despicable policies of amnesty, Sanctuary Cities & States, drivers licenses, welfare, preferential college admissions, and more for illegal aliens.  In some communities, Democrats even allow illegal aliens to vote!

You can imagine every holiday season our hearts are torn at a time which should be dominated with happiness and family celebrations.  There is a hole in our hearts we will never be able to fill, and the way my mother's life was taken from her was just so cruel and unjust.  She was a wonderful woman who deserved so much better.

Below is a photo of my granddaughter taken this Christmas.  I try and remember that we conservatives fight the political fight in this nation so that all of our grandchildren can inherit a great nation, and I pray that we can help President Trump succeed in building a Border Wall so our children and grandchildren never have to experience the pain my family felt during Christmas, 2005.

Service runs deep in my family - my father served in the U.S. Navy, my son currently serves in the U.S. Army, and I am determined to help serve and secure our nation by holding the politicians accountable, securing our nation - and our borders, and protecting the constitutional principles that have made this nation great.

Democrats do not want our border secured.  They favor open borders, amnesty, Sanctuary Cities & States - because this is part of their plan to "fundamentally transform" the country.  This is why it is so vital we fight for our national security and sovereignty.

We're engaged in this battle to defeat the Left and ultimately secure funding for a border wall.  We could sure use your support.  You can make a contribution online - CLICK HERE.
