Deciphering 2 conflicting polls

There is a lot of discussion about two conflicting polls released in the past 24 hours regarding the Texas Senate race.  On Tuesday a Quinnipiac Poll showed Ted Cruz with a 9% lead, but today a Reuters/IPSOS poll showed Democrat Beto O'Rourke in the lead by 2% - his first lead in this campaign.

The Fort Worth Star Telegram analyzed the polls and concluded that the truth probably lies somewhere between the two polls, underscoring how tight/competitive this critically important race is.
