Register for European-Ukrainian Energy Day! 

On October 29th, the 15th European-Ukrainian Energy Day will take place in Vienna, which holds special significance this year as it coincides with the 15th anniversary of EUEA. We are organizing this year's event in Vienna thanks to the support of our partner Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.

After the main program, participants will have the opportunity to join a celebratory reception in honor of our anniversary.

NOTE: Each EUEA member is allocated two spots for offline participation in the event. Sponsors may invite up to five additional guests, depending on their sponsorship package. Registration is mandatory. Members are kindly asked to inform the EUEA team about the registration of any guests they plan to bring.

The Regulator plans to extend the deadline for RES producers to register in the electronic register of guarantees of origin for renewable energy by 1 month. The current deadline is planned to be extended from October 1st to October 31st.

On August 15 Ukrenergo held the special long-term auction for the purchase of FCR. 11 of 13 winning companies have already provided financial security. 99MW of storage capacities are expected to be connected to Ukrainian energy system by August 2025.

Sokolivska_VES

On September 18, the 54.6 MW Sokolivska wind power plant was presented. Two companies, Ukrainian Eco-Optima LLC and Czech MND, invested UAH 2.1 billion.

IX Business & Legal Energy Forum

We are pleased to announce the "IX Business & Legal Energy Forum". Participants will discuss the issues of strengthening energy security and the infrastructure of the energy system of Ukraine, the role of renewable energy, and the prerequisites for restoring the energy system of Ukraine. The Director of EUEA Anastasiia Vereshchynska will speak on the panel "Build back Greener: Renewable Energy". EUEA is a media partner of the Forum.

 Ministry of Economy and Kyiv School of Economics Unveil Ukraine's New Investment Portal

On September 16, the Ministry of Economy and Kyiv School of Economics held the event “Ukraine Investment Framework: How Business Can Attract Funding.” During the event, the Ukraine Investment Portal was launched. The portal currently features projects from the existing Investment Guide and now allows new projects to be submitted via this form.
The Ministry emphasized that the portal aims to connect registered Ukrainian projects with international donors, including International Financial Institutions (IFIs), seeking to fund initiatives in Ukraine.
Additionally, a Practical Handbook was presented, detailing available financing instruments for businesses in Ukraine, including programs by IFIs, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), Ukrainian banks, and insurance companies. The handbook is currently available only in Ukrainian.

Organizational and technical issues regarding participation in auctions for the distribution of renewable energy support quotas

On September 19, the Ministry of Energy conducted an online seminar in order to organizational and technical issues of participation in auctions for the distribution of renewable energy support quotas.
