In particular, the meeting discussed the issue of regulating the resumption of Ukrainian electricity exports to Slovakia and the implementation of the agreement reached as a result of the previous meeting, according to which NPC "Ukrenergo" had to promptly submit to the Regulator the agreement on the distribution of revenues from participation in the distribution of transmission capacity of the Ukraine-Slovakia interstate crossing. ✔️ NEURC, on the initiative of NPC "UKRENERGO", will conduct a scheduled inspection of the company On May 9, 2023, the NEURC will begin conducting a scheduled inspection of compliance with the requirements of legislation and licensing conditions in the energy sector of NPC "UKRENERGO". NPC "UKRENERGO" by letters №01/6363 dated February 3, 2023, and № 01/14730 dated March 23, 2023, appealed to the NEURC with a request to consider the possibility of changing the start date of the corresponding scheduled inspection in 2023 by moving it to an earlier period, and specifically for March or May 2023, in order to prevent the financial stability of the company from becoming unbalanced. ⚡️ NEURC expanded the rights of consumers to sell their own electricity The decision to grant all consumers of electricity (both household and non-household) the right to sell the energy produced by the generating plant and/or storage plant of such consumer of electricity to any supplier under a free contract and at a contractual price was adopted by the NEURC at a meeting on Tuesday. As reported on the regulator's website, such a decision will contribute to the expansion of competition in the retail market of electricity and is aimed at the development of distributed generation and ensuring the "green" transformation of the energy industry. |

✅ Ukraine has adopted a state standard for injecting biomethane into distribution and main gas networks This is the basic technical standard of the EU, which is used to determine the requirements for the quality of biomethane and the content of chemical compounds in it. Now DSTU EN 16723-1:2023 "Natural gas and biomethane in transport and biomethane for injection into the natural gas network" has become part of Ukrainian legislation, the "Regional Gas Company" reports. Based on the standard, technical conditions will be issued for connecting biomethane plants to gas distribution networks. The document will enter into force on November 1, 2023. |

The SAEE is developing a number of tools that will help local communities, residents and businesses get quick access to both financing and modern energy-efficient technologies. In particular, the parties discussed the details of the creation of an investment fund for the recovery of the economy of Ukraine with the attraction of capital. 👉🏻Ukraine is preparing to launch a private insurance market for military risks Military risk insurance is available from several international financial institutions, including the World Bank Group's MIGA and the American Development Finance Corporation (DFC). DFC already insures Ukrainian investors and considers projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Conditions are also created for the launch of the private insurance market through access to the reinsurance capital of companies. The pool of donor aid is approved on the Multi-Donor Coordination Platform and it is envisaged to create a separate dedicated Trust Fund to provide reinsurance capital and cover the "first loss guarantee". In the future, it is also planned to create a self-regulating institution like the Motor (Transport) Bureau, the concept of which is currently being developed together with the National Bank of Ukraine.
