Legislative initiatives for October 2022 impacting RES producers

👉🏻 On November 3, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2023", which provides for the suspension for 2023 of the third part of Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On Alternative Energy Sources", which provides for expenditures from the budget for financial support of the Guaranteed buyer for payment of electricity to RES producers. It is important to note that these funds were not previously involved in the financing of a Guaranteed buyer. Accordingly, this volume cannot be taken into account in the transmission tariff for 2023. More details in IMEPower's October Legislation Monitor.

EUEA sent its comments to the draft resolution of the NEURC regarding the revision of the tariff for electricity transmission services.

❗️Important: At today's meeting, the Regulator postponed consideration of the issue of changing Ukrenergo's tariffs for transmission and dispatch from December 1, 2022, in connection with a request from the Ministry of Energy to recalculate the tariff.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine registered the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Extending the Period of Commissioning of Renewable Energy Facilities under Feed-in Tariff Power Purchase Agreements concluded by December 31, 2019".

Ukrainian certificates of guarantees of origin will not enter the market of European certificates for several years, so we must rely on our own market - Kateryna Polyakova.
