💡The draft law on extending the validity of pre-PPA contracts On August 12, the Ministry of Energy published its own draft law, which proposes to extend the validity of pre-PPA contracts with the possibility of receiving a “green” tariff for RES projects that will be completed by the end of 2024. In the explanatory note, it is noted that due to the war, investors suspended the implementation of WPPs with a total capacity of 800 MW, as well as some bioenergy projects. The draft of the act envisages the provision of an opportunity for renewable energy producers, who have entered into contracts for the purchase and sale of electricity with a guaranteed buyer at the "green" tariff until December 31, 2019, to put into operation renewable energy facilities, the implementation of which was suspended as a result of the russia military aggression against Ukraine, which will contribute to increasing the reliability of electricity supply and energy independence of the state. Comments and proposals to the draft Law are accepted in writing and by e-mail within a month at the address: Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, str. Khreshchatyk, 30, Kyiv, 01601, e-mail: vladyslav.maksakov@mev.gov.ua The draft Law. |
