✔️ Joint letter to the NEURC - for approval

For your approval, we are sending a letter to the NEURC regarding the improvement of the imbalances calculation for RES producers.

According to the results of the discussions of the proposals of SE "Guaranteed Buyer" to p.9.2 of the Procedure for the purchase by a guaranteed buyer of electric energy produced from alternative energy sources, which took place on July 11, 2022 at NEURC and on July 12, 2022 at NPC Ukrenergo, the associations supported the proposal of SE "Guaranteed Buyer" in part of the introduction of the coefficient, which takes into account the percentage of deviation between the purchase and sale price of electricity, which is determined at the DAM auction, and the price of the imbalance of electricity (formula 10), and the exclusion from the calculation of the imbalance of electricity, related to the settlement of the imbalances of electricity of sellers, included in the balancing group of the guaranteed buyer, volumes of unreleased electricity by generating units of RES producers (formula 11).

The proposed approach will make it possible to approximate the amount of costs of RES producers, related to the settlement of the imbalance, which are carried out in favor of the SE "Guaranteed Buyer", to the corresponding costs of the SE "Guaranteed Buyer", caused by the imbalances of the RES producers.

The letter is attached.

Send comments/suggestions by the end of the day on July 26 to iryna.pashchuk@euea-energyagency.org.
