The joint appeal of RES Associations on the abolishment of the settlements restrictions with RES electricity producers

On June 2, 2022, EUEA together with UWEA, UARE, and SEAU, which together unite the majority of market participants in RES of Ukraine appealed to the President of Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy of Ukraine on the abolition of restrictions on settlements with RES electricity producers. UNIDO is initiating a series of surveys

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Ukraine Industrial Energy Efficiency Project team and European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) are implementing a series of surveys aimed to collect information needed to adapt ongoing and design new technical assistance and investment support.

Essential to the success of any support actions to Ukrainian industry is and will be a strong understanding on the part of UNIDO and other international cooperation agencies of the nature of the problems faced; damages suffered and plans considered by Ukrainian enterprises.

All companies that plan to participate in future UNIDO energy efficiency projects can take part in the survey: answer the questions and send them to huch@euea-energyagency.org.

ENTSO-E decided to address positively the gradual expansion of Ukrainian electricity exports to Europe

On June 8, 2022, at a press briefing, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of «NPC «Ukrenergo» noted that operators of renewable energy power plants will be able to export their electricity to the European energy market if Ukrainian legislation allows it. Details.

Up-to-date information on settlements with RES producers

On June 7, the SE «Guaranteed Buyer» published the updated data on settlements with RES producers. For 2022: January – 100%; February – 83.7%, March – 20.1%, April – 19.2%, May – 19%. Also, on the official website, the state company noted that they started paying off debts to the “green” generation. So, the company paid in full – 100% for January 2022. Settlements for March-May 2022 were made in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine № 140 of March 28, 2022.

On May 18, the European Commission adopted a long-term plan REPowerEU, – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen noted at a briefing. Also, President von der Leyen has proposed granting Ukraine additional macro-financial assistance of up to €9 billion in 2022.
