  1. Up-to-date information on the Guaranteed Buyer's payments to RES producers. The level of payment under the "green" tariff as of April 19, 2021: for the first 10 days of April - 100%, for March - 81%, for February - 90%, for January - 93%. Details…

  2. The Guaranteed Buyer reports on the main results of its work for 2020. From January 1, the Guaranteed Buyer purchased 10,219,000 MWh of electricity from electricity producers at the "green" tariff. The total cost of "green" electricity generated in 2020 is over 49 billion UAH. Details…

  3. The 69th session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) began on April 19, where the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for European Integration Yaroslav Demchenkov spoke in the block "Hydrogen and Sustainable Energy" read more… On April 21 in the block "The work of the UNECE Nexus Teams » Yaroslav Demchenkov spoke about three important documents for the Hydrogen Strategy of Ukraine, namely: Roadmap for the production and use of hydrogen in Ukraine, Roadmap for the use of hydrogen in Ukraine in road transport, a draft report on large-scale action under the Strategic Environmental Assessment Roadmap.   4. Labeling the energy products will be adapted to the new EU rules: public discussion. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is launching a public discussion of the Technical Regulation, which plans to establish the basic requirements for labeling the energy products in Ukraine in accordance with the updated EU legislation.   5. The Government of Ukraine is going to introduce an excise tax on the sale of green electricity from 3.2% to 40%, but this information has not yet been officially confirmed. Details.. 

EUEA news:

  1. On April 20, 2021, EUEA sent a letter on the draft resolution of the NEURC "On Amendments to the Procedure for Licensing Types of Economic Activities, the State Regulation of Which is Carried Out by the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission".
    Letter is attached.

  2. On April 21, 2021, EUEA sent a letter to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine with proposals and recommendations for the implementation of a waste management mechanism for solar photovoltaic panels based on expert positions during the EUEA webinar on “Solar PV waste management in Ukraine”, which took place on March 25, 2021.

  3. On April 22, 2021, EUEA submitted an application for participation in the Constituent Assembly to form the Public Council under the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE)

  4. On April 23, 2021, EUEA, together with other associations, sent a letter in response to a request from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to clarify that the "green" tariff is not state aid.
