1. Updates on the relevant news from the market

• The Ministry of Energy supports the development of small dispersed generation from alternative energy sources, so this year the Ministry of Energy is going to develop legislative changes that will improve this sector of the energy market. More... 
• Yaroslav Demchenkov, Deputy Minister for European Integration outlined three long-term goals in his speech during the 4th RENPOWER UKRAINE Investment Forum, they are:

-full integration of Ukrainian energy markets into European ones, in particular ENTSO-E;
-decarbonization of the economy and development of renewable energy;
-increasing energy efficiency.

However, when he was asked by the moderator - Oleksandra Gumeniuk, Director of EUEA, about the preparation of a plan on stabilization the financial situation in the RES sector, he answered that the plan is still in the developing stage and when it is ready, all market participants will be invited to discuss it. • The DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE №35 / 2021 on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) of January 29, 2021 "On measures to neutralize threats in the field of nuclear energy and industry" was published.

According to the Decree, it was decided to take comprehensive measures by April 1, 2021 to "stabilize the electricity market and its relevant entities, providing for the development of incentives for businesses that produce electricity from alternative energy sources (solar energy and from wind energy, except for generating installations of private households) to provide obligatory system of forecasting electric power generation and energy storage systems according to calculations in the construction and commissioning project on each subject of generation from renewable energy sources with a capacity of more than 1 MW». • The Guaranteed buyer has published up-to-date information on settlements with electricity producers as of February 1, for December 2020 88,5%, January 2021 36 %. There is still no final decision on the repayment of 40% of the old debt to RES. 
• On January 28, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to appoint Yuriy Vitrenko the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy of Ukraine, but there were not enough votes. As a result, Yuriy Vitrenko remains working as the Acting Minister of Energy.

2. Summary of the meeting of the EUEA Hydrogen Working Group with LLC "GTS Operator of Ukraine"

On February 2, 2021, members of the EUEA Hydrogen Working Group met with GTS Ukraine Operator LLC regarding the ability of the gas transmission network to transport hydrogen. According to the presentation of representatives of the GTS Operator, in 2021 it is planned to start a project to test the network, so as of now there are no exact data.
