BGI extends a huge congratulations to the innovative startups selected for the EIT Food Accelerator Network 2025 cohort, particularly Portuguese StartUps Nutrition from Water, Abeya and Cell4Food. This groundbreaking work is a testament to Portugal's growing impact on the future of Agrifoodtech.

10 Portuguese women have been selected for the 2025 EWA – Empowering Women in Agrifood programme by BGI and EIT Food. Leading projects in biotech, sustainability, circular economy, and regenerative agriculture, they'll receive mentoring, training, and international networking in the months ahead.

EIT Food’s Seedbed Incubator 2025 has selected 50 European startups for its six-month, equity-free programme focused on food innovation. Among them are Portuguese teams MBP BioTech, working with aquatic bioactives, and ChainReactor, developing AI-driven bioreactors for biomanufacturing.
