Dear Builder,

Just a few weeks ago, we wrapped up the HealthySoil4Life Summer School, where participants dived deep into the significance of soil health and its critical role in the global food system. From July 1st to July 12th, 2024, this program brought together students, researchers, and professionals, all eager to explore how sustainable soil management practices can revolutionize the way we produce food. During this course, participants engaged with experts through a series of sessions covering everything from soil biology and climate change to digital technologies for soil monitoring.

Now, as we look ahead, another incredible opportunity is on the horizon: the Inspire: CircularAgriFood Summer School. Scheduled to take place online from August 26th to September 6th, with an in-person session in Portugal from September 23rd to 27th, this program is designed to inspire the next wave of innovation in the agrifood sector and it is your ticket to mastering the principles of circularity and sustainable practices in agriculture.

Whether you're at the beginning of your career or looking to expand your expertise, this program will equip you with the tools to make a tangible impact on the future of food systems.

Don’t miss out on this chance to continue your journey in sustainable innovation. Register here.

Sustainability in Action

Last month, BGI and SFT-EDIH hosted the RegenAg Summit at Feira Raiana, bringing together agrifood leaders and tech experts to explore digital innovation and network within the industry.

The RegenAg Summit, in Idanha-a-Nova, explored and showcased regenerative practices, with one of many activities being a tasting session of a beer in collaboration with the Tech4RegenAg project. This highlighted the potential of regenerative agriculture in everyday products, offering participants a taste of the future of sustainable farming.

The Summit also featured cooking shows demonstrating how regenerative practices can be seamlessly integrated into the kitchen. These cooking shows emphasized the importance of sustainable food systems, inspiring participants to rethink how food is produced and consumed and using ingredients produced through regenerative methods to create delicious and sustainable dishes.
