Internationally acclaimed Australian Pop painter Johnny Romeo is proud to announce the launch of his latest artistic project, NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROUND. The brainchild of Johnny Romeo, the project features Romeo alongside artists Kurt Herrmann, Mike Egan and Mark Loughney, who have each invited an artistic peer to participate who they believe captures the spirit of their artistic community. Cheekily playing off the premise of ‘four artists becoming eight’, the 48 works to be exhibited are characterized by a liberating sense of spontaneity and rawness that intuitively respond to the notion of the ‘underground’ and echo the organic manner in which the grassroots artistic communities develop. NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROUND is an electrifying and ambitious celebration of coming together, of learning from your peers and sharing in the joys of creating meaningful connections and communities. |
