PRESS RELEASE OF THE KÖLNER PHILHAROMNIE ON THE FESTIVAL "FELIX!" is the name of the Cologne festival for historical performance practice. What is behind it? In the Kölner Philharmonie, among other venues, numerous internationally renowned artists dedicate themselves to the music of times long past. On original instruments and with knowledge of the playing practices of the time, they bring the sound of the past into the present and, in combination with contemporary compositions and immersive sound designs, make it fit for the future. In doing so, they not only dedicate themselves to the music of the European Baroque, but also go on long journeys to far-flung musical cultures. On 28 August, "FELIX! urban" will be a full day of music with free admission. See the entire program of the festival: https://www.koelner-philharmonie.de/en/festivals/felix/205 |
