The Mythology of Michal Martychowiec

Liebe Gäste, liebe Leser*Innen,

herzlich laden wir Sie zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung des polnisch-britischen Konzeptkünstlers Michal Martychowiec am 29. August, ab 18 Uhr, in den Thesaurós. Uhlandstraße. ein.

Die Ausstellung Nachricht vom letzten Menschen ist eine Exploration des symbolischen Zeichenkosmos und der neuen Mythologie Martychowiecs. Die zwei Hauptakteure dieser Ausstellung sind die Figur des ungläubigen Thomas und die Figur des Pandabären. Letzterer übernimmt im System des Künstlers die 'Rolle' des letzten Menschen wohingegen uns Thomas als der archetypische gläubige Zweifler entgegentritt.

Die Ausstellung ist der dritte Teil des von Julian M. H. Schindele kuratierten Zyklus μυθοποίηση – mythopoesis.

Entsprechend der gebotenen Hygieneauflagen werden wir am Samstag den 29. August die Ausstellung von 18 Uhr – 20 Uhr eröffnen. Innerhalb dieses Zeitraums laden wir Sie ein, diese in Kleingruppen zu betreten. Vor der Tür der Uhlandstraße 147 gibt es entsprechende Getränke, Gespräch und Wegzehrung.

Ansonsten gelten unsere normalen Öffnungszeiten am Dienstag und Samstag Nachmittag von 15 – 18 Uhr sowie nach privater Vereinbarungen.

Dear guests, dear readers,

We cordially invite you to the next opening of the exhibition by the Polish-British conceptual artist Michal Martychowiec on August 29th, from 6 p.m., in the Thesaurós. Uhlandstrasse.

The exhibition Message from the Last Man is an exploration of the symbolic cosmos of symbols and the new mythology of Martychowiecs. The two main protagonists in this exhibition are the figure of the incredulous Thomas and the figure of the panda bear. The latter takes on the 'role' of the last man in the artist's system, whereas Thomas confronts us as the archetypal believing doubter.

The exhibition is the third part of the cycle μυθοποίηση - mythopoesis curated by Julian M. H. Schindele.

In accordance with the hygiene requirements, we will open the exhibition on Saturday, August 29th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. During this period, we invite you to enter in small groups.

Otherwise, our normal opening times on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and according to private agreements apply.
