Bring Joy to Cambodian children

Hope Village Prey Veng (HVPV) bubbles with joy & love from the 104 children.  Every morning, we hear the busy chatter of children doing area cleaning & preparing to go to school.  Our key aim is to prepare them for the day they leave HVPV, to be able to sustain themselves & live a fruitful life.

Srey Mouch who was with us for 10 years is now a successful businesswoman selling organic rice & fertilizers as well as being a mother of one. Boran is studying Electronic & Information Engineering under a scholarship in Hangzhou. They are two of the many success stories that we can share.

Give Joy  to Nepali children

Our Hope Trust Nepal (HTN) children in Nepal have moved from Kathmandu to their new home in Pokhara.  With lots of space & fresh air in the Annapurna mountain range, the children are a bundle of joy.  The new home requires furniture, equipment, minor repairs & renovation.

Most important, we need a vehicle as the home is nestled in a hilly area, 45 minutes from Pokhara town.  We need to drive down to town once a week to buy wet & dry food.  Potatoes are bought by the sacks & a freezer is now needed to store the meat.  Nepal is now quarantine-free.  Visit us to share your love with these amazing kids.

Give A House To A Poor Khmer Family - Cambodia

Extreme poverty forces many families to live in what we call sheds rather than a house.  Some have no walls on one or more sides and roofs with gaping holes.  The joy we bring to families when we hand them a beautiful wooden house is indescribable.  Every human being deserves to live in a proper shelter that provides security, privacy & protection against the weather.  OHF has built hundreds of these houses but the need is very high and we have a long waiting list.

Give A Life Saving Well To A Poor Cambodian Family

We take water for granted in our homes as all we need is to turn on a tap.  But thousands of families do not have piped water to those homes, incredible as this may sound.  It is a luxury to have piped water.  These families depend on rivers, lakes, or wells.  To a family having a well means no more arduous task to collect buckets of water from a nearby stream or rivers and even a means to grow vegetables.  It means being able to bathe regularly and having safe drinking water for drinking and cooking.

    Give Joy To Thirsty Students

Imagine a school with 500 thirsty students.  Many of the students cannot afford to buy bottled water.  There is no piped water where the students can drink from a tap.  OHF was asked by the school to provide a safe water system for the students.  Water is pumped from a well into a large tank, filtered, and treated by Ultra Violet Sterilizers.  Not only the students are happy but the parents as the students can bring home safe drinking water from school.  It is such a joy to see students lining up to fill their water bottles.

You Can Help Reduce Drop-out Rate In Primary School

Primary school have high drop out rates because poor students skipped school frequently to work to earn money for the family to buy food! They have to share text books with other students  and even cannot do their homework  because they could not afford to buy the exercise book. This program provides poor students with uniforms, text books and stationary. In addition, a food pack is given to the family provide the child does not skip classes.  This is a wonderful program that is very much appreciated by the student and their family.

    Give Hope to Rural Youth

Most schools in rural areas have no electricity and therefore no computers. They graduate from high school with no knowledge of computers, cannot read or speak English, and with no skills to find a white-collar job. This three months residential training program equipped the youths with soft and hard-skills. With the training they receive, they have a wider job opportunity rather than being limited to being a construction or garment factory worker.

Give A Sherpa Stick To Help Nepali Villagers

A Sherpa stick is designed and developed by OHF to help villagers carry heavy loads, Instead of a large basket strapped to the forehead, the Sherpa Stick help carry the load as it has a wheel. Many Nepalis suffer from spinal problems due to the load compressing the spine. This is because the load is not carried on the shoulders like a backpack but with a strap to the forehead. Join our program to conduct trials and test and promote this Sherpa Stick in several provinces of Nepal.
