| Daia Zwicky, Chair of IABSE Technical Committee, gives a brief overview on the organizational transformation of the Technical Committee, its 6 key Commissions and how Task Groups will increase the momentum of IABSE’s technical activities. He invites everyone to take a closer look at the new Technical Committee site pages and the wide array of current Task Groups with their project details. In this video, watch him provide a simplified process to either join an existing Task Group or information on how to form a new one. Task Groups aim to accomplish a targeted objective within a period of 2-4 years to deliver an output, such as setting up a workshop or perhaps an article in the SEI Journal - anything is possible! Non-members of IABSE are most welcome to participate in any of the Task Groups to lend their expertise on their subject matter, and there’s no limit to the number of participants as well. So, reach out to your colleagues, those who are non-members as well and invite them to join a Task Group. Commission 1 (Performance and Requirements), Comm. 2 (Conceptual Design), Comm. 3 (Structural Analysis and Evaluation), Comm. 4 (Construction Methods and Processes), Comm. 5 (Existing Structures) Comm. 6 (Sustainability). | |
