| | Preliminary Invitation - Call for Papers
Vancouver will host the 39th IABSE Symposium ’Engineering the Future’ (September 19-23, 2017). This symposium will explore topics related to structural engineering of buildings, bridges and other civil infrastructure. It will showcase the latest in technology and practice to enable engineers, researchers and public agencies to plan ahead. The submission of abstracts will open beginning of May. | | IABSE Guangzhou Conference 2016 The Guangzhou Conference ‘Bridges and Structures Sustainability’ Is around the corner and will be held from May 8-11, 2016. This IABSE Event is set in a new conference format, linking national and international activities into a single conference, over 600 participants are expected altogether. A Young Engineers Workshop with a Design Competition is being organised: three teams have already signed up and more teams are welcome to participate. Enrolment is possible until April 28, 2016. IABSE Working Group ‘Construction History’ met April 15-17 in Wiesbaden, Germany. The main work consisted in reviewing 20 draft articles submitted for a SED (Structural Engineering Document) on how knowledge on construction history and awareness of cultural values influence structural engineering when dealing with existing structures when rehabilitating, strengthening or modifying them. Seven Bridges with high cultural value were also visited. read more.. | |
