Tomorrow’s Megastructures September 19-21, 2018The French Group of IABSE and the AFGC invite the world’s structural engineering community to come to Nantes and share their experiences on today’s megastructures and to present their vision of those of tomorrow - and more broadly their prospect of future outstanding structures. Preparations are well underway, the Scientific Committee is currently revising over 500 papers received from 50 countries, and the following Keynote Speakers have confirmed their participation: Ibrahim Mahlab, Egypt (Mega Projects towards Egyptian Construction Renascence) Robert Sinn, USA (The One-kilometer tall Jeddah Tower) Régis Adeline, Monaco (Monaco offshore extension project) Denis Etienne, France (The Chernobyl shelter: a mega-structure for a safe confinement) Michel Virlogeux, France (Cable-stayed bridges) Jean Marc Tanis, France (The new coastal road on the Reunion Island) Registration will open beginning of March and the Final Invitation will be available then too.
